Our History
Alpha Pregnancy Care Center was founded in 1989 by a diverse group of individuals who had a deep desire to help women in crisis pregnancies. Alpha Pregnancy Care Center is a welcoming refuge providing solutions, support, education, and hope to women facing a wide range of pregnancy and family decisions.
Our Mission
Alpha Pregnancy Care Center is a refuge where those dealing with pregnancy issues can find unconditional love, acceptance, and truthful counsel, reflecting God’s great love for the lost and the unborn.
Our Vision
Our prayer, vision, and hope is that women, men, and families throughout the Capital Region will have access to completely free and confidential services. More than 6,000 total client visits to our centers occur each year, plus about 500 self-administered pregnancy tests are performed. Alpha continues to grow and expand the outreach to reach more families in need.
We are a place where they can find love and acceptance. We are not here to judge, but to compassionately inform them through the entire process.
Making A Gift
Alpha Pregnancy Care Center is supported through private gifts from individuals, businesses, foundations, and churches. We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and all gifts are tax-deductible.

At Alpha Pregnancy Care Center, we are dedicated to empowering women with the resources and support they need during one of the most pivotal moments of their lives. Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, we offer free pregnancy testing and ultrasounds to help women confirm their pregnancies. These vital services are often the first step in giving women clarity and confidence as they navigate their options.
After a pregnancy is confirmed, we meet each woman where she is, providing compassionate support as she considers her options, including parenting and adoption. We offer a range of empowering resources, including classes on childbirth, parenting, and even Bible studies, helping women feel equipped to face the road ahead. Our programs don’t just stop there—we also provide one-on-one mentorship programs, post-abortion support, and a practical Earn-While-You-Learn program. Through this program, women can earn essential baby items like clothing, strollers, Pack-N-Plays, and so much more by participating in our classes and services.
